What is kompot juice?Read my disclosure policy. Kompot is a fruit juice made by nearly every Russian and Ukrainian family. There are a gazillion ways to make it. It all depends on the fruit you have on hand. Your kompot will surely taste different than mine (I am very curious how you make your favorite homemade juice).
What is Ukrainian kompot? This classic sweet fruit drink is easy to make and perfect on those hot summer days. Ukrainian kompot can use a variety of fruits, but my recipe uses those found outside babusya’s house in Khmelnytskyi region. Within minutes of entering Alona’s grandmother’s house I’m offered a cold glass of traditional Ukrainian kompot.
